Summer events can actually be the most dangerous, want to know the main reason why?One word: Dehydration. Us Brits are known to love a drink, and when the sun's out, the urge for a couple of pints only grows stronger 🍻And when you’re at a concert or festival, it’s highly likely that you’re probably going to drink or be around people that do.But this is what event organisers need to watch out for, because although people are drinking, alcohol isn’t going to hydrate you! 🌞So you’re likely to have potentially thousands of people dehydrated in a hot environment. It’s essentially a breeding ground for overheating and collapsing 😰Please, if you’re an event organiser, make sure there is plenty of water available at your event, and encourage your attendees to drink it! 🥤If you need a team to mitigate and manage risks like this at your event, then X2 Consult are available, send me a dm and let’s discuss.#summer #concerts #festivalseason #festival #beer #safeguarding

I'm chuffed to bits to show off PardiGras.org, a map-focused social media app that connects Mardi Gras attendees and provides information about essential services and conveniences within the shape-shifting context of a large public event. Click the link below to check out a demo version of the app, where you'll learn about the app's functionality and contours.I want to thank and congratulate my collaborators: Geremy Fisher, James Sheppard, Alex Beasley and Gretchen Neuenhaus. Their creativity, compassion, grit and technical expertise combined into an incredible, indelible, inedible sauce that smothered Pardi Gras with homemade NOLA flavor. Y'all rock hard. Same goes to the folks at Operation Spark.About the app: on one side, Pardi Gras empowers users to coordinate their day with friends and stay informed about the event's goings-on. On the other side, Pardi Gras provides NOLA businesses with a targeted advertising platform for connecting with potential customers. An economic impact study of 2023's Mardi Gras estimates that out-of-town visitors' non-lodging expenses tallied $57 million. These visitors fit a unique profile: they're in an unfamiliar and dynamic environment, they're confined to a particular area in virtue of attending the event, and they're ready to spend. Pardi Gras provides value to its users by reducing discovery friction for those normal purchases occurring in an abnormal setting, and provides value to its advertisers by informing event attendees of their nearby services.I'd love to connect with planners of large events or festivals to see how this concept could work in other event contexts and communities, and would greatly appreciate your sharing those connections in the comments below. Cheers! 😎

Happy National 🍦Day! What’s your favorite ice cream flavor? Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Banana, Cookies & Cream or Pralines & Cream. Though we may all enjoy the flavor the true value is CHOICE and the ability to have CHOICES. We must understand that we are living in a day and time where choice is possible. Therefore we must treat people with the utmost kindness and respect and go “over board” for your team. Go where no one else is willing to go, of course, responsibly and within reason. Most importantly, value each person, patient, team member, or stakeholder realizing that everyone has a choice. Choice in their healthcare, Choice where they work, Choice with whom they work for and work with. So, not only should we enjoy the simple pleasure of having “a” scoop of ice cream today, we should all revere in the ability to have a Choice in the flavor we chose. #NationalIceCreamDay#Choice #Humanity

As the school year winds down, it's time to celebrate the achievements, friendships, and growth that have marked the journey. End-of-school parties are an essential part of this celebration, but they often come with a menu heavy on sugary treats and processed snacks. What if we could elevate these gatherings with nutrient-rich snacks that not only taste good to kids, but also fuel their bodies and minds for a summer of fun and exploration? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I have five creative ideas to make your end-of-school party both delicious and nutritious in my newest blog post athttps://lnkd.in/gvmyjtGp

LinkedIn now (?) features short videos ... but are we getting enough pointed comedy here? This seems to be an oldie (posted three years ago), but new to me: Joey and Sean -- members of the planning committee -- welcome you to a mid-sized "up and coming" city near you. Did we mention the breweries? #urbanfutures #futurecities #futureofcities #urbanplanning #humor #alabamashakeshttps://lnkd.in/ep8P7Cez

It's that magical time of year when everyone suddenly develops a passion for leprechauns, shamrocks, and questionable green beverages! St. Patrick's Day is like Christmas, but instead of goodwill and cheer, we have an excuse to push all things green and jig-worthy.✅ Got green food coloring? Check.✅ Stocked up on cheap beer? Double check.✅ Overpriced novelty hats? Triple check. So, let's raise a glass (preferably filled with something that resembles a radioactive swamp) to St. Patrick's Day: the one day a year when it's socially acceptable to appropriate a culture while wearing a green tutu and singing 'Danny Boy' off-key.#socialmedia #socialmediamarketing #socialmediaexpert #socialmediatipsandtricks #loveyourworkwedo #loveyourworkinglife

A pre-pint has just been made available on a picnic system obeying the self-consistency principle of naturalistic pancake baking in non-localised banter.Once empirically verified by attending megazoids in a sufficiently saturated reality, eating the pancake and keeping it along with the pint will be possible.Superabundance is at a fundamental verge floss from the temporal incarnation of virtual conversations, as moronic resonance paves the way to fashionable somnambulism by the rhythmic action of the latest, fully mechanised sense peeler. The process is impervious to the unavoidable wavelets that come with standardised ripes and is uniquely positioned to turn diners into gazing pawns enthralled in auto puncturing. You either eat or get eaten by Textual Tedia, with no need for creep or sneak, you'll just have to lurk.Sign up and get shortfisted.
